Every year, Sutherlin puts together a Light Parade to bring light to the community just before Christmas. It is our gift, our way of giving back, and bringing the Christmas Holiday to Sutherlin.
Annual Gnome Procession to the Wishing Tree in Lithia Park to welcome Winter!
Meet on the Ashland Plaza at 5pm on the first day of Winter Thu Dec 21. Bring a lantern and your wand.
We will cast a protection for all the animals, take our first sip of Winter Elixir and awaken the Magical Minatures slumbering in Lithia Park.
The Winter Festival brings hundreds of people downtown Myrtle Creek to enjoy free chili, hot cider and coffee. Visitors can also enjoy the City Christmas tree and live Nativity scene and can shop at businesses that stay open late during the community event. When the parade vehicles arrive, they park along Main Street and some side streets where they can viewed up close and visitors can take photographs and chat with the drivers. For Entries - Don't Wait To Sign Up. The first 100 to sign up will be entered in parade, then we will close entries.
Spectator Viewing - To watch the parade you can sit between 6th street and “C” street; Parade ENDS at 6th street and "M” street. View the full parade between these streets. BOTH SIDES OF ROAD are open for viewing.
Parade will happen rain or shine.
Please place your trash in the trash bin and pick up your trash when you leave .

This is a FREE family friendly event.
Join the City of Central Point for our annual Community Christmas on Saturday December 7th. The parade will start at 5:00pm on Pine Street, with the tree lighting to follow in the parking lot of City Hall and the Library. We will have fun activities for the whole family! Santa will be on site to visit with the kids and we will have Kona Ice with FREE hot cocoa!
Bundle up and celebrate the magic of the season in Jacksonville at our enchanting Victorian Christmas Parade! Step back in time as the streets fill with festive cheer, and vintage costumes bring holiday history to life. After the parade, spend the day exploring Jacksonville’s charming shops, cozy cafés, and historic sites, all beautifully adorned in holiday splendor. Enjoy the warmth of the season with carolers, visits with Father Christmas, our complimentary hot cider stand, and delightful seasonal treats. We invite you to make this special holiday tradition a part of your festive celebrations!
Tree Lighting: Saturday, November 30th at City Hall at 5pm
Victorian Christmas Parade: Saturday, December 7th on California St.
FATHER CHRISTMAS: On weekends between December 1st– December 22nd you can take family pictures with Father Christmas and enjoy musical entertainment as you stroll the streets doing your holiday shopping. There is no charge for taking pictures with Father Christmas. We ask that all those 5+ wear a face covering and observe social distancing guidelines while waiting in line. You are welcome to take your own photos as there is no professional photographer. You will find Father Christmas on the 3rd St/California St. entrance of Beekman Bank 11am-4pm.
Santa’s Arrival and Grand Illumination begin at 5pm Ashland Ashland Public Library on Friday, November 29th. We will welcome youth and family groups to welcome Santa (his reindeer and elves!) downtown where he will greet the crowd and light the town from the Brickroom balcony, creating magic for this holiday season. The town will come alive with over one million lights all season long!
Every weekend between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the Chamber has coordinated carolers to stroll and sing downtown.
