37th Annual Sutherlin Blackberry Festival and Car Show

  • Sutherlin Community Park (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

The Sutherlin Blackberry Festival is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. Every year we purchase a vehicle to raffle off. Those funds allow us to purchase the next years vehicle and to give away scholarships to local high school students in Sutherlin and Oakland, Oregon. We also have a new scholarship program providing students with scholarships to Trade Schools.

We are a drug and alcohol-free event for the whole family. We have a Poker Run, Car Show, Motorcycle Show, Pancake Breakfast, Blackberry & Chili Cook-offs, Church in the Park, BMX races, a Diaper Derby, a Cruise-in, a live Cruise downtown, and the Mud Races. We have Food & Craft Vendors plus a Swap Meet. On Sunday we raffle off the current years vehicle. Tickets are $5 each and sold throughout many local businesses in Sutherlin starting as early as April.

Klamath Tribes Restoration Celebration

  • goos olgi gowa community center (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Held each year on the fourth weekend in August. This annual event marks the anniversary of the Restoration of the Klamath Tribes, which includes; the Klamath, Modoc and Yahooskin Bands of the Snake Indians.

In 1954 the Klamath Tribes were terminated. But after many years of struggling, hard work and determination, the Tribes regained federal recognition by an act of Congress, Public Law 99-398. With restoration in 1986 the Tribes began to develop a full scope of programs which provide necessary services to Tribal members and the community. Today the Tribes operate with a budget of over $12 million annually, with over 30 different departments and services offered.

We now celebrate our Restoration each year by hosting a huge celebration.

All Events are Open to the Public and are Drug, Alcohol, and Smoke Free!
