Fort Umpqua Days in Elkton

Fort Umpqua Days is a two-day celebration of local history held on Labor Day weekend each year. Join the hometown parade through Elkton (Saturday morning), then try your hand at the famous pie auction (Saturday afternoon), visit the exhibits at Fort Umpqua, live music, wine garden, tours at the Butterfly Pavilion & Fort Umpqua. Take a stroll through the gardens, shop at a wide selection of Artisan booths, and take part in the fun interactive history-themed activities for visitors all weekend long. Relax Saturday and Sunday evening to be thoroughly entertained at Elkton’s Annual Echoes of The Umpqua Pageant Performance at the amphitheater!

Coming from out of town? Make a weekend of it and enjoy all that Elkton has to offer!

Thursday, June 23rd

  • Registration and a sneak peek at the Sentry Eagle Open House at the Airport / 3000 Airport Way (RESTRICTED TO KRUISE REGISTRANTS)

Noon to 3:00 p.m.

It’s a bonus weekend in Klamath Falls as the Oregon Air National Guard 173rd Fighter Wing will be holding the Sentry Eagle Open House on Saturday. But since everyone will be a little busy on Saturday, we get a sneak peek on Thursday! Participants can gather at the Upper Deck Restaurant for a no host lunch and then it’s all aboard for a bus tour of the airport. The tour will include watching F-15s depart/land as part of their training mission, visiting the new Kingsley Field Fire Department and touring the 173rd Fighter Wing’s engine shop. Goody bag pick-up for those that have pre-registered or registration for those that need to do so.

  • Meet & Greet at the Growler Guys / 4201 Hwy 97 South (PUBLIC EVENT)

    4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

    The Growler Guys are coming to Klamath Falls and we can’t wait to showcase their newest location to you! To be opened on the site of the former Reames Country Club, the Growler Guy’s newest location is a celebration of craft beer in a setting with some of the best views in the Basin. A casual, no host gathering for those that can’t wait to get Kruise weekend started with plenty of reserved parking for registered vehicles. Goody bag pick-up for those that have pre-registered or registration for those that need to do so.

Friday, June 24th

  • Mini Shows (RESTRICTED TO KRUISE REGISTRANTS AND VEHICLES 1979 AND OLDER)

#1: 8:00a.m. – 10:00a.m. / Waffle Hut / 106 Main St.

#2: 10:00a.m. – Noon / Winema Electric / 735 Commercial St.

#3: Noon – 2:00p.m. / Red Zone Sports Bar / 1717 Avalon St.

#4: 2:00p.m. – 4:00pm / Mia & Pia’s Pizzeria & Brewhouse / 3545 Summers Ln.

Attend 1 or 4 or any number in between – you choose! These informal mini shows are open to all vehicles 1979 and older (registered or not) plus any vehicle 1980 and newer registered for the Kruise of Klamath. DJ Strohmeyer will be playing the tunes and each mini show location will be offering up their own mix of fun to keep you entertained.

10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Already registered? Pick up your good bag with registrant sticker, information guide, t-shirt and tickets for all the weekend events during this time. Not yet registered? Registrations will be taken on a space available basis (event limited to 500 cars).

  • Kick-Off Party / Moore Park / 740 Lakeshore Dr. (PUBLIC EVENT)

5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

A new location for our kick-off party and we think you’ll approve! What could be better than spending the evening at Moore Park enjoying the cool breeze off the lake, listening to tunes by DJ Strohmeyer and catching up with friends old and new? Plenty of parking on the grass for registrants plus a picnic dinner of pulled beef or pork sandwiches by Melissa’s Country Kitchen (advance purchase required). Goody bag pick-up for those that have pre-registered or registration for those that need to do so.

Saturday, June 25th

  • Show 'N Shine / Downtown Main Street (between 3rd and 11th Streets)

7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Registrant parking on Main Street. Vehicles must enter at 11th and Main and and will be parked in order of arrival starting at 3rd Street and working back towards 11th.

7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Registration open on a space available basis at Klamath Commons / 1112 Main St.

9:00 a.m. - All cars must be parked - No exceptions

3:00 p.m. - Awards Ceremony

6:00 p.m. - End of Show ‘n Shine

  • Closed Cruise / Historic downtown Klamath Falls

6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

See all the classic cars in action and relive your youth with an evening of cruising the downtown strip just like the old days.

Sunday, June 26th

  • Breakfast / Starv’n Marv’n Family Restaurant / 1822 Austin St. (PUBLIC EVENT)

7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

A great way to visit with new found friends from the weekend’s activities or just catch up with old ones. Registrants receive two free breakfast tickets, additional tickets are available for purchase.

  • Poker Run / Begins at Starv’n Marv’n Family Restaurant / 1822 Austin St. (PUBLIC EVENT)

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (approximately)

Your last chance for a bit of fun and to win some cash before heading home! The poker run takes participants on a tour through Klamath Falls before wrapping up around noon with the awarding of cash prizes for the top nine hands. Registrants receive one free poker run game card but the event is also open to the public for $5 per poker game card.

9:00 AM – Outpost Cafe & 5K Butterfly Run Check-In Opens (on-site registrations available)

9:30 AM – 5K Butterfly Run Route & Kid Run Opens 

10 AM – Artisan & Community Booths Open

10 AM / 12 PM / 2 PM “Creative Re-Use Workshop” Hosted by Artist Jen Wolfe. 1st of 3 Recycled Art Workshop series @ ECEC  in 2021

11:00 AM – 2:30 PM – Burger Station opens on the greenhouse patio. Enjoy a hamburger or veggie burger on a whole grain bun with baked beans and your choice of garden salad, potato salad, or fruit salad. 

11 – 1 PM – Live Music Decor’mm

Cathy Byle and Phil Berglund have joined together to provide a cadre of original and classic cover songs. You pick a genre and they will most likely have one or two in their cache. They play guitar, piano, accordion, and trombone, combining vocals for sweet, warm harmonies.

1 PM – Butterfly Costume Contest & Raffle Drawing

1 PM – 3 PM – Live Music by The Flutestock Players

The Flutestock Players will present music from various genres, mostly improvisations, all played on Native American-style flutes. We look forward to returning to ECEC next year for Flutestock 2022, which will be July 15-17, 2022.

Alder Creek Community Forest is open to the public on these dates for fun outdoor educational activities, including hikes, plant identification, treasure hunts, and more!

Your whole family is welcome. Come ready to learn about and explore the forest! Make sure to dress appropriately.
