Yesterday: The Beatles Tribute

Performing the Beatles since 2001, Yesterday-A Tribute to The Beatles founded by Don Bellezzo, tours not only in the U.S. but Internationally. With seven tours of Japan, dozens more to Canada, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Bahamas, and United States military bases throughout the World, these entertainers have performed on five continents. Yesterday has been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, Showbiz Magazine, on NBC, CBS, and ABC, Dick Clark’s “Your Big Break” Ed McMahon’s “Star Search” and recently returned as highlight of the annual Joe Johnson’s Beatles Cruise aboard the Royal Caribbean Cruise lines. Sailing with Yesterday on the Beatles Tribute Cruise was Laurence Juber, formerly of ‘Wings’, Tony Bramwell, Author and longtime Beatles childhood friend and Tony Perkins from ABC’s Good Morning America, a well know Beatles enthusiast.

Back at the Ragland for the first time since 2013, harpist Anna Maria Mendieta leads Tango del Cielo in a special multimedia performance. With standing ovations nationwide and beyond, Tango Del Cielo, a unique theatrical music and dance program, features a fusion of Latin styles including Tango, Flamenco, Spanish Classical, and Latin Jazz. Performances feature award winning musicians and world champion dancers. The concerts pay homage to the era of silent film and are especially captivating, incorporating multi-media use of film art, staging, lighting, and effects. The program is full of surprises and appropriate for audiences of all ages!

 

Tango Del Cielo- Latin/Classical/Dance

  • With standing ovations nationwide and beyond, Tango Del Cielo, a unique theatrical music and dance program, features a fusion of Latin styles including Tango, Flamenco, Spanish Classical, and Latin Jazz. The Ross Ragland’s Teen Theater’s annual production, Ms. Marvel is diverse and action-packed production. This production will be performed by a cast of talented, pre-professional Ragland Teen Theater students, ages 14-19. The story begins with Kamala attempting to boost Ms. Marvel’s fledgling super hero profile by writing her own fan fiction. But, when building a fandom becomes an obsession, Kamala’s schoolwork and relationships begin to suffer. To become the Jersey City hero of her dreams, Kamala must learn to accept herself just as she is – imperfections and all.

Quarteto Nuevo

Quarteto Nuevo’s showcase, which resulted in numerous bookings following a juried performance at NCPC, demonstrates their range of World, Jazz, and Chamber Music repertoire. Presenters can imagine crafting a program custom-made for their audience featuring the unique instrumentation of soprano saxophone, cello, guitar, and percussion. Combining these with light verbal banter, you can glimpse the group’s ability to engage with audiences of all ages. Winners of two South Arts Jazz Roads Touring grants, the ensemble has composed new movements for its Jazz Road Suite celebrating each state they visit!

The Ragland is partnering with Exhibition on Screen deliver the best of essential arts documentaries straight to the Klamath Basin! Followed by a Q&A with local experts, Concerto – A Beethoven Journey, is an extraordinary exploration of the great composer’s five piano concertos. Award-winning director Phil Grabsky follows leading concert pianist Leif Ove Andsnes as he travels the world playing sell-out concerts with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra in an attempt to understand and interpret one of the greatest sets of piano works for piano ever written: Beethoven’s five piano concertos.

Mads Tolling & The Mads Men

Mads Tolling is a two-time Grammy Award-winning violinist, and the 2016 winner of the “DownBeat Critics Poll Rising Star Violin Award.” A former longtime member of Stanley Clarke’s Band and the Turtle Island Quartet, Mads has been featured on NPR’s Morning Edition, and he has performed over a thousand concerts worldwide. Mads released his latest hit recording, Mads Tolling & The Mads Men – Playing the 60s last year, and he has been touring the show worldwide ever since. The album has been a favorite amongst fans and critics alike and was in the top 30 on US Jazz Radio for two straight months, peaking at #5.

Mads has created a fun and exciting program that is at once nostalgic as well as contemporary. The performance reimagines classic songs from 1960s TV, film and radio. His repertoire ranges from “Mission Impossible” and “Meet the Flintstones” to “Georgia on My Mind,” “A Taste of Honey” and “All Along the Watchtower.”
