4th of July Fireworks in Central Point - Boomfest at the Expo
Grants Pass 4th of July Celebration & Food Truck Festival
The City of Grants Pass is pleased to present the 4th of July Celebration.
Festivities begin at 7:00pm with a concerts TBA. The concert ends with a full fireworks show beginning at 9:50pm.
All festivities will take place on the softball fields at Reinhart Volunteer All Sports Park.

7 – 10 am. Dock Beach. No entry fee. Award baskets given out for: Best Sand Art, Best Kid's Art, People's Choice Award and Best Stone and/or Driftwood Sculpture. Sponsored by The Creative Collective of Port Orford.
Rotary Pancake Breakfast
7 – 10 am. American Legion Hall, 421 11th Street. All you can eat! Pancakes, scrambled eggs, ham, juice, milk, coffee. $10. Children 6 to 13: $6. Children under 5: free. Proceeds support local scholarships. Sponsored by Port Orford Rotary.
Painted Rock Hunt
All day. Search for Jubilee Prize Rock around town. Bring to 1717 US 101 for prize. Sponsored by Rock on Port Orford #ROPO.
Paddle Parade
8:30 am. Pinehurst boat launch to 12th Street boat launch. Welcoming canoes, kayaks, catamarans, paddle boards. Line up at 8 am. Hosted by Port Orford Yacht Club.
Pickleball Open Play

Artists at the Hughes House
1 - 4 pm. Cape Blanco State Park. The Cape Blanco Heritage Society invites artists and artisans to set up their easels and workbenches to display some of their work. Visit the gift shop, and explore exhibits and videos by digital artists.
Dinghy Races
1 pm. Battle Rock Beach. Two-person teams row out to a marker and back. Two laps per person, four laps per team. Sponsored by the Ashdowns.
1 pm. Buffington Park. July 4th Throwdown One Disc Challenge. Bring your own disc. $25 entry fee. Sign up at 12 pm.
Jerry Can Races
2 pm. Port Orford Lifeboat Station Museum. Two-person relay teams compete on 50-yard course. Men, 42-pound cans. Women, 22-pound cans. 16 years and older. Honors Coasties who served at the rescue station from 1934 to 1970. Sponsored by Cape Blanco Heritage Society.
Keg Toss
2 pm. Buffington Park baseball field. Entry fee. Toss an empty keg the furthest and win a prize. Adult entries only.
Cornhole Tournament
3 pm. 1738 US 101. Sponsored by Rogue Credit Union.
Pet Show
4 pm. 1634 US 101. Animals of all shapes and sizes welcome. No entry fee. Prizes awarded. Sponsored by Happy Tails Pet Supplies.
Port Orford Jubilee Fireworks
10 pm. Battle Rock Wayside Park. Fireworks program by the Port Orford Volunteer Fire Department. Make a dedication with a donation to the Jubilee
The beach from Battle Rock to Hubbard Creek is closed on July 4th from 3 pm on. This closure is strictly enforced.
MAYOR'S FIRECRACKER RUN AT MINGUS PARK, COOS BAY
Monday, July 4th, 2022, Mingus Park, Coos Bay
10 AM, 1/2 mile kid’s run and 4K run/walk
10:00 – 1/2 mile kid’s run – Free!
10:20 (or whenever the kid’s run is over) 4K Grown-up run –Free for members, but please sign-up on-line to help make race morning less crazy! $10 for non-members. Become a member and race for free!

Members will not be charged at check-out. You can also sign up race day from 9-9:45. Avoid the line and come early to sign up!

Race Description
1/2-mile kid’s run and a 4K for grown-ups. Kid’s run is 1.5 times around the lake. 4K is 3 times around the lake followed by a HUGE hill in beautiful Mingus Park. You will then run on city streets, down another Mingus Park dirt trail, and finish on the paved path by the lake.
