ART IN BLOOM - OUR MOTHER'S DAY TRADITION

Art in Bloom is one of the highlights of the year for us.  It has become our annual Mother’s Day weekend tradition to visit this beautiful coming together of growers, creators and artists.  We usually start our Sunday morning off with brunch and then we head to downtown Medford to take a stroll with the kiddos and enjoy some family time.

To start off we take a look around at the artist creations.  There is everything you can think of from mixed media and photography to jewelry, toys, candles and garden art, all beautiful and all lovingly handmade.

What’s cool is not just the fact that they have crafts and art to purchase, but many times you will see the artists hard at work; painting, drawing, beading, crocheting or whatever their specialty may be.

After a while, the kids start getting antsy if not a little bored so we head over to the kids area. There is a petting zoo, ScienceWorks has exciting hand-on experiments to play with and Craft Warehouse has fun crafts to participate in. 

We usually spend about half an hour or so there until the kids are hungry and thirsty at which time we head over to listen to the live music.

If you want to go, Art in Bloom is every Mother's Day weekend in Downtown Medford on E Main Street.  This year it will be Saturday & Sunday, May 13th & 14th.  If you go I am sure you will be hooked!
