9 OF OUR FAVORITE FOOD TRUCKS IN THE ROGUE VALLEY

We love our food trucks!  They are mobile, gourmet kitchens that bring their culinary creations to delight our bellies wherever we may be.  We have been so lucky the past couple of years to get a big influx of some awesome new food trucks into the Rogue Valley and we wanted to share our favorites since we have frequented many of them.  Here are 9 of What to do in Southern Oregon's favorite Rogue Valley food trucks!

Pitaya Smoothie Bowl

NORTHWEST PINE APPLE - We have tried almost their entire menu and then some and we love everything that we have had.  I am obsessed with their PB&J Smoothie, Pitaya and Acai Protein Smoothie bowls.  Not only do they taste good they are pretty healthy…everything in moderation right!  Hard to do when you get a taste of one of these lovelies.  I crave them constantly!  To enjoy some of their tasty treats you can find them at Rogue Valley Growers Market on Tuesday's in Ashland and Thursday's in Medford at Hawthorne Park and Friday's at 325 S Riverside in Medford.

SULTAN'S DELIGHT - We met Sultan's Delight at the Rogue Valley Growers Market many moons ago and have been hooked ever since.  Sam Altunel the owner is the nicest guy, that just adds to the fact that he has fantastic gyros and falafel.  Olivia and Ilias can't get enough of the gyros packed full of zesty meat and veggies and topped with homemade (not so hot) hot sauce and tzatziki.  I love the falafel plate with fresh veggies, garbanzo bean salad and topped with the amazing sauces.  Again, craveable.  (Can you tell I love food?)  During the Market off season he is located at various locations but during the spring to fall you can find him at Rogue Valley Growers Market on Tuesday's in Ashland and Thursday's in Medford at Hawthorne Park, Saturday at the Grants Pass Growers Market and he travels to various wineries all during the summer.

Yum Nue - Spicy Beef Salad (I always ask for it extra spicy and then add her home made hot chili sauce)

WASANAS THAI FOOD - Wasana is another food truck owner/friend that we have made that we look forward to seeing at the Rogue Valley Growers Market.  Her Thai food is so deliciously layered with tang, and the perfect amount of spice.  If you need it a little spicier she will kick it up for you while she is cooking or you can add some of her homemade hot sauce. To enjoy her awesome Thai food you can find her at the Rogue Valley Growers Market on Tuesday's in Ashland and  Thursday's in Medford at Hawthorne Park.  When the market is over she is located in Talent across from Ray's.

Chicken Tacos

WOKSTAR - There are so many things on their menu that we love we always want to order one of each!  Their Korean Fried Rice with a Fried Egg, Chicken Tacos with Sriracha Aioli, or Stir-Fried Veggies with Garlic-Soy Sauce.  We can never just get one dish.  Gary and I usually order one item each and then one to share!  To enjoy their yummy goodness you can find them at 35 W 8th St in Medford, Monday-Friday.  They also do events all over the valley so follow them on Facebook if you want to stalk them to keep your cravings fed.

CURBSIDE KING - So, I had always wanted to try Curbside King and one day they had an offer on Instagram $5 Spicy Peanut Chicken Wraps.  All I can say is ADDICTED.  Even at the regular price, they give you so much food, your belly and your neighbors is satisfied with wonderful, spicy, sweet, and tangy goodness.  Gary had the Teriyaki Tri-Tip Lettuce Wraps and loved it so much he seriously sopped up every bit of the sauce (really he licked it off the plate but not my business to confess. 😉)  They are open Monday-Friday at 325 S Riverside in Medford.

JOSE'S TACO TRUCK - What to do in Southern Oregon - Where to eat in Southern Oregon - Southern Oregon Eats - Food - Medford

JOSE'S TACO TRUCK - HOMEMADE TORTILLA'S!  No joke.  They sit there and make handmade tortilla's right there in their truck for their tacos and burritos.  Their Al Pastor and Carne Asada Tacos are fantastic and their salsa is perfectly spicy.  They rival the tacos that I grew up eating in southern California! If you want to try out their homemade tortilla's and amazing tacos they are located at 101 S Riverside

Don Caesar Sandwich

PERUVIAN POINT - I'm not kidding I go through withdrawals for Peruvian Point's, Don Caesar Sandwich.  The chicken gets soaked in some magical marinade then it is grilled, put on a soft roll, topped with fresh lettuce greens and house pickled red onions giving it a nice sweet and tangy pop that perfectly compliments the grilled flavor.  They finish the plate with a green salad, a red potato and two spicy sauces that make my mouth water just thinking about them.  I put the sauces on everything.  Darn it, I want one now!  If you want to go they are located at 2780 E Barnett Rd, Medford.

THE GREAT OUTDOOR GRILL - Gary swears by this place!  Straightforward bentos.  The Great Outdoor Grill only has three items on his menu but he has got it down to perfection.  It never fails; Gary always gets the Teriyaki Chicken & Veggies.  I really want to try the Thai Veggie Peanut Curry, it sounds sooo good.  I know where I am going next time I hit up a food truck! If you want to go they are located at 2780 E Barnett Rd, Medford right next to Peruvian Point.

SWEET CREAM ICE CREAM - What to do in Southern Oregon- Where to eat in Southern Oregon - Southern Oregon Eats - Food Trucks

SWEET CREAM - Dessert anyone?...or breakfast, lunch, or dinner?  I don't know about you, but ice cream is one of my favorite indulgences and if I am going to indulge, I am going to do it right!  Sweet Cream has new flavors every month that keep up with the season and the creaminess of their ice cream is so decadent and delicious you will be thinking about it until the next time you make it out to their truck.  Handy tip:  If you want to take some ice cream home they offer it by the pint.  I know..WHAT?!  Yummy.  If you want to get one of their sweet treats they are located at 2 S Riverside in Medford.

This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to food trucks in southern Oregon.  They seem to be popping up on a daily basis.  Between food truck pods and food courts at our local grower’s markets, some of the best food is being cooked up in these tiny kitchens!  We will make it to all of them some day.  It will just take us some time!  To check out our latest foodie finds you can follow us on our Instagram account Southern Oregon Eats!  HAPPY EATING!!
