WINTER WINGS FESTIVAL

We’re back with a four-day Festival again! We invite birders and photographers of all levels and other nature enthusiasts to join us. This will be our 43rd annual Festival and we hope to have 500 visitors/locals attending.

What’s New for 2023?
★ Festival runs Friday through Monday (instead of Thursday through Sunday)
★  Free Friday afternoon presentations with updates on the Klamath Basin and stakeholder initiatives
★ Lots of new programs and presenters including new keynoters, pro photographers, and raptor workshops
★ Vendors (Friday afternoon through Saturday) include new optics and camera vendors plus many of your favorite local vendors
★ Free children’s activities again on Saturday
★ Our first ever Sunday night reception gives you the chance to mingle with new birding and photography friends!

September 1 – Keynoters announced
November 7 – Schedule released
December 12 – Festival Planning Worksheet and printable Program Descriptions released (note: revised 1/4/23)
December 13  – Pre-registration opens
December 27  – Full registration is open

Who Produces the Festival? The Winter Wings Festival is produced by Klamath Basin Audubon Society volunteers with support from sponsors, grants, and participant registration fees. Proceeds from this festival support local grants to teachers and other entities for outdoor education and community nature-related projects.

Would You Like to Volunteer with the Festival? We are always looking for volunteers to help in a variety of ways before and during the event. Birds? We typically have about 120 – 133 species. Here is our 2022 festival bird species count of 124.
